Turkey Cordon Bleu

  • 2 cups breadcrumbs, for the breading
  • 1/4 cups Parmesan cheese, ground, for the breading
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, dry and ground, for the breading
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder, for the breading

  • 1 turkey breast, boneless, skinless, and butterflied (approximately 3 kilos)

  • 400 grams Mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 eggs

  • parsley, finely chopped

  • For the breading: in a bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  • Spread the turkey breast and season with salt and pepper. Add a layer of ham and one of cheese, then roll up to form a log. Use toothpicks to secure the roll tightly.
  • Place flour on a plate, milk in a bowl, beaten egg in another bowl, and the breadcrumb mixture on a large plate.Dredge the turkey roll in the flour, then in the milk and egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs. Set aside.
  • Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Fry the turkey cordon bleu for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove and place on a plate with paper towels.Cut into thick slices and set aside.
  • Place the turkey on a serving platter, garnish with parsley, and serve with Christmas salad and a Coca-Cola®.
