Amarant Skeletons with Chocolate

  • 1 cup amaranth
  • 1 cup bittersweet chocolate
  • 2 egg whites, for the frosting
  • 1/2 teaspoons lime juice
  • 1 1/2 cups icing sugar, for decorating

  • In a bowl, mix the amarant with the chocolate very well.
  • Pour the mixture into the skeleton molds and compact. Refrigerate for 40 minutes until firm. Unmold and set aside.
  • For the frosting, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. Add the lemon juice and powdered sugar gradually while continuing to beat. Keep beating until you have a firm consistency.
  • Divide the frosting into different bowls and color with food coloring. Place in cornets made of wax paper and decorate each skeleton.
  • Let dry for 20 minutes and enjoy.
