Baked Apple with Caramel

A very tasty and healthy recipe. The baked apple enhances its flavor and the caramel sauce that accompanies it is delicious.

  • 6 green apples
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cups walnuts, in pieces
  • 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 tablespoons ginger
  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius.
  • Wash, peel, and remove the core from the 6 apples. Place on a baking tray and sprinkle with cinnamon and ginger. Bake for 45 minutes or until they are slightly golden.
  • In a skillet, melt the butter and add the sugar. Cook over low heat for 2-3 minutes, being careful not to let the sugar burn, and add the heavy cream. Whisk together and continue cooking for 2-3 minutes, remove from heat.
  • When the apples are ready, place them on dessert plates and add 1 tablespoon of the caramel sauce. On top, add 1 tablespoon of nuts and serve.
