In a skillet, melt the butter and add the sugar. Cook over low heat for 2-3 minutes, being careful not to let the sugar burn, and add the heavy cream. Whisk together and continue cooking for 2-3 minutes, remove from heat.
When the apples are ready, place them on dessert plates and add 1 tablespoon of the caramel sauce. On top, add 1 tablespoon of nuts and serve.
