Baked apples

Recipe of baked apples cooked with a mixture of orange juice, nutmeg honey and cinnamon. Delicious recipe for an apple dessert and easy to prepare.

  • 6 apples
  • 1/2 cups raisins
  • 1/4 cups walnuts, chopped
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/3 cups honey
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 1/4 teaspoons nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

  • Remove the stems from the apples and remove the heart. Peel one third of the top part of the apple and place them in a refractory. Fill the apples with raisins and nuts in the center.
  • Stir the orange juice, the orange zest, the honey, the nutmeg and the cinnamon. Put it around and inside the apples.
  • Cover the refractory with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes at 190 centigrade. Remove the foil and bake another 10 minutes more. See if they are cooked with a toothpick that must enter without resistance.
