Buñuelos are a delicious and crispy dessert to enjoy during the holiday season.

  • 455 grams wheat flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cups cow's milk
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • honey brown sugar, for accompaniment
  • sugar
  • vegetable oil, for frying

  • Start by making a mound of flour on a clean surface and place the wet ingredients in the center. The eggs and the milk. Knead well and add the baking powder, nutmeg, and cinnamon, kneading until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
  • Now take the dough and divide it into 8 and make little balls with your hands. With a rolling pin, flatten each ball to obtain a tortilla. Sprinkle with sugar and fry in hot oil.
  • Remove from the oil once golden and dry with paper towels. Now add some sugar and cinnamon and serve with piloncillo honey.
