  • 180 grams unsalted butter
  • 330 grams semisweet chocolate
  • 4 eggs
  • 120 grams sugar
  • 80 grams flour
  • 100 grams whipping cream
  • 100 grams milk chocolate

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C
  • Melt 120 grams of butter with 200 grams of semi-sweet chocolate in a double boiler. In another bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar for 3 minutes, then add the flour and stir. Add the melted chocolate and butter mixture and mix again. Bake in a greased and floured loaf pan for 40 minutes.
  • For the filling, heat the heavy cream and chocolate in a saucepan until the chocolate melts. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  • For the frosting, melt the remaining butter (60 grams) with the remaining semi-sweet chocolate (130 grams) in a double boiler and let it cool slightly.
  • Place the cooled cake on the serving platter, slice it horizontally, spread the filling generously in the middle, and put the removed rectangle of cake back on top. Pour the frosting over, letting it spill over a bit, or if desired, cover the entire cake.
