Carrot Cake with Frosting

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cups carrot, grated
  • 1/2 cups walnuts, chopped
  • 2 cups icing sugar
  • 1 orange

  • Sift the flour, sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Add the oil and mix well.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well, then add the carrots and mix.
  • Add the nuts and place the mixture in a cake pan.
  • Bake for 60 minutes at 180ºC.
  • For the frosting, place the powdered sugar in a bowl and gradually add drops of orange juice, stirring continuously until you achieve the ideal frosting.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool, then add the frosting.
  • Finally, decorate with some nuts on top.
