Chocolate Cake with Blackberry and Chipotle

We present to you a delicious breakfast, perfect for starting a weekend with the family. These are fried eggs with black mole, a recipe so easy and quick that you will love it. For a richer flavor, use Mole Negro Almendrado Cocina Mestiza®.

  • 1 jar salsa, Sweet and Sour Blackberry with Chipotle Cocina Mestiza®
  • 120 grams bittersweet chocolate
  • 90 grams butter, at room temperature
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 liters whipping cream

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Melt the chocolate and butter in the microwave for 1 minute, mix and reheat until the butter and chocolate are fully integrated and melted.
  • Pour the chocolate mixture into a blender and add the eggs, walnuts, and sugar. Blend until all ingredients are incorporated.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased round metal mold (approximately 17 cm).
  • Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Whip the cream with 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
  • Unmold the cake and drizzle with the Sweet and Sour Blackberry and Chipotle Sauce from Cocina Mestiza to taste.
