  • 1 cup cajeta
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cups flour
  • 1/3 cups cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 cups cow's milk
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 350 milliliters evaporated milk
  • 400 milliliters condensed milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and grease a round cake mold with butter and flour.
  • With a spoon, cover the base and edges of the mold with cajeta.
  • In a deep bowl, mix the sugar, flour, cocoa, salt, and baking powder.
  • In another deep bowl, mix the milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract. Gradually add the flour mixture and beat very well.
  • Pour the mixture into the mold with cajeta.
  • Blend the ingredients for the flan and carefully pour over the chocolate cake mixture.
  • Cover with aluminum foil and place in a baking dish with water that reaches halfway up the cake mold. Bake for 50 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely (4 hours) or refrigerate.
  • To unmold, run a hot knife around the edges. Serve.
