Pinata cake on the stovetop

  • 1 tablespoon REXAL® baking powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cups cocoa
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 cups colored chocolates, for the filling
  • frosting, colored, for decoration
  • honey, to glaze the wafers
  • wafer rolls
  • rainbow sprinkles
  • ribbon, colored, for decoration

  • Blend the REXAL® baking powder, the egg, melted butter, sugar, flour, milk, cocoa, and salt at medium speed for 3 minutes.
  • Pour the cake mixture until filling ¾ of a previously greased glass bowl. Cover and cook in a water bath for 40 minutes.
  • Let it cool and unmold. Use a spoon or cutter to make a small hole in the center, but do not reach the bottom.
  • Fill the hole with colored chocolates and decorate the cake with colored frosting, creating ruffles to simulate the paper used to decorate piñatas. Let it cool and set aside.
  • Glaze the wafers with enough honey covering them perfectly, then roll them in colored sprinkles. Set aside.
  • Place the wafers around the cake, simulating the shape of the piñata. Decorate the tips of the wafers with colored ribbons.
