Coffee and Walnut Ring

Coffee ring covered with a topping made of chopped walnuts, powdered sugar, and instant coffee.

  • 4 eggs
  • 150 grams sugar, white
  • 1 plain yogurt
  • 200 grams wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee
  • 100 grams butter, melted
  • 200 grams walnuts, chopped, for the topping
  • 2 tablespoons icing sugar, for the topping
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee, for the topping

  • First of all, we can prepare the topping. We mix the three ingredients in a bowl and set it aside.
  • To prepare the cake, we put the eggs with the sugar in a bowl. We beat until we have a creamy and fluffy mixture.
  • We add the melted butter, yoghurt, flour mixed with baking powder, salt, and instant coffee. We continue beating until all the ingredients are well combined.
  • We pour the preparation into a ring mold, in this case, lined with parchment paper and greased. On top, we spread the topping until it covers the entire surface. We place it in the preheated oven at 180º C for about 30 minutes.
  • Let it cool on a rack and serve warm with a good cup of steaming coffee.
