  • 220 grams butter
  • 250 grams sugar
  • 8 eggs
  • 3/4 cups cow's milk
  • 230 grams flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 50 grams cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 100 grams walnuts, ground
  • 2 cups water
  • 4 teaspoons instant coffee
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 liters chantilly cream
  • walnuts, for decoration
  • chocolate sprinkles, for decoration

  • Cream the butter with the sugar and add the egg yolks one at a time.
  • Sift the dry ingredients and alternately mix them with the milk, vanilla, and walnuts into the mixture.
  • Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and gently fold them in.
  • Pour into two greased and floured pans and bake at 180ºC for approximately 45 minutes or until firm.
  • Boil 2 cups of water with 3/4 cup of sugar and cinnamon until a light syrup is achieved, then remove from heat, add 2 teaspoons of coffee, and let it cool.
  • On a plate, place a layer of bread and soak it with the syrup; on top of this, add a portion of the whipped cream mixed with 2 teaspoons of water and 2 teaspoons of coffee.
  • Place the other bread layer and also soak it with the syrup, cover with coffee whipped cream, and decorate with walnuts and sprinkles.
