Princess Cake

This princess cake features an edible sugar print on a wafer, perfect for impressing with a homemade cake. The best part is you can use any image you like.

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cups butter
  • 1 cup sugar, refined
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup cow's milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 obleas, large sugar

  • Preheat the oven to 170°C and grease a cake pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat the 1/2 cup of butter until fluffy, add the sugar and beat until well combined, then add one egg at a time.
  • Start gradually adding the flour mixture into the butter until fully incorporated. Add one tablespoon of vanilla and mix for 2 minutes.
  • Pour the mixture into the pan and bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • For decoration, you will need a large wafer coated with sugar and print the princess image using a special printer with edible ink or trace the image with edible markers.
  • Place the large sugar wafer already decorated with the princess image on top and use a star tip to pipe the frosting around the cake, thus covering the edge of the wafer.
  • Cover the entire edge and borders of the cake with frosting in your preferred color.
