  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease the molds with butter.
  • Beat the egg with the mixer and let it increase a little in volume. Add half of the sugar and continue beating. When the mixture is thicker, add the rest of the sugar and the vanilla and beat until you achieve a ribbon stage.
  • Add the zest and sifted flour gradually and mix gently. Add the butter and finish mixing, then pour into the corresponding molds.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. After the time is up, remove from the oven and let cool before unmolding.
  • Repeat the process in the same way every time you make a cake batter.
  • For the frosting, beat in the mixer with a paddle at medium speed, the shortening and butter until soft. Reduce speed and gradually add the powdered sugar until fully incorporated.
  • Put a little frosting on the base, place a cold cake layer on top, cover with a little frosting, and repeat the process with all the layers of the cake.
  • Remove excess frosting from the cake at a 45° angle to achieve the naked effect.
  • Decorate with organic flowers.
