Red Velvet Cake
Carlos Torres
It is a delicious three-layer red velvet cake, with a slight flavor of chocolate and vanilla, filled with cream cheese frosting and covered with the same frosting; its delicate cheese flavor makes it irresistible and its color very appealing.

Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Grease and flour a 20-centimeter round cake pan.
Put the lemon juice in the milk and let it sit.
Sift the flour and cocoa in the same bowl and set aside.
In the mixer, cream the butter with the sugar until light and fluffy, add the eggs one by one and the vanilla, and continue mixing.
Lower the mixer speed and gradually add the flour with cocoa, alternating with the milk until both mixtures are finished.
Once all the ingredients are combined, add the food coloring and continue mixing.
Mix the baking soda with the vinegar and immediately add it to the mixture, integrating everything very well.
Immediately after, pour the mixture into the pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
Slice our cake in half until it is completely cool.
For the frosting: mix the cream cheese with the butter and powdered sugar until we have a smooth paste.
Add the filling and cover our cake with frosting.
