1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cups cocoa
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup cow's milk
1/2 cups vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1/4 cups water, hot
2 cups whipping cream, for the frosting
2 3/4 cups semisweet chocolate, (500 g) chopped, for the frosting

Preheat the oven to 180° C. Grease and flour two 22 cm diameter cake pans.
Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, cocoa, and salt and beat in the mixer on low speed until combined.
Incorporate the milk, oil, eggs one by one, vanilla, and hot water and beat until combined on medium speed for 2 minutes.
Pour the mixture into the cake pans and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until cooked through.
Remove from the oven and let cool, then unmold.
For the frosting, heat the whipping cream in a double boiler or microwave and add to the chocolate, mixing until combined and cool for 15 minutes.
Beat the chocolate and cream mixture in the mixer with a whisk until its volume doubles.
Decorate the cake with the frosting.
