1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoons salt
4 egg whites
1 1/2 cups cow's milk
1 stick unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla essence
500 grams couverture chocolate, dark (for the frosting)
1 stick cream cheese, (for the frosting)
1/2 sticks unsalted butter, (for the frosting)
1 cup icing sugar, (for the frosting)
1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence, (for the frosting)

For the Cake: Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Mix the baking powder, flour, and salt.
Beat the egg whites together with the milk.
Beat the butter until a creamy consistency is achieved.
Gradually add the sugar to the butter, and when well mixed, add the vanilla.
Add the mixture of dry ingredients in 3 parts, alternating with the egg mixture. Mix until all ingredients are incorporated.
Place in a greased and floured pan.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
For the Frosting: Melt the chocolate in a double boiler and temper.
Beat the butter together with the cream cheese until a creamy consistency is achieved.
Add the powdered sugar, chocolate, and vanilla. Beat until the desired consistency is achieved.
When the cake is cool, cover it with the frosting.
