For lovers of Mexican baking, we created this recipe for traditional cheese cubiletes with a crispy crust and creamy filling, decorated with powdered sugar and fresh strawberries. Don't miss out on trying them!
On a clean surface, form a volcano with the flour, sugar, and salt. Add the butter and work with a spatula until it forms a sand point. Add the egg and vanilla essence, knead until integrated. Refrigerate for 30 minutes before using it.
Form small balls of dough and place them in a cupcake mold, spreading them out to form the base. Refrigerate for an additional 15 minutes.
For the filling, blend the eggs with the condensed milk, cream cheese, vanilla essence, and cornstarch.
Pour the previous mixture over the butter bases to ¾ of their capacity and bake for 10 minutes. Lower the oven temperature to 180°C and bake for an additional 10 to 15 minutes or until the filling is firm and the edges are golden. Cool and decorate with powdered sugar and strawberries.
