3/4 cups sugar, split amount
3 tablespoons tapioca, MINUTE Tapioca
3/4 cups sparkling water
1 tablespoon lemon juice
4 cups cherries, sweet black, descorazadas
1 cup gluten free flour mix, baking for all-purpose
1/4 teaspoons cinnamon powder
1/3 cups low-fat milk
1/4 cups almonds, PLANTERS Sliced Almonds

Heat the oven to 375F.
Reserve 2 tbsp. of sugar to use later.
Mix the remaining sugar and tapioca in a large saucepan.
Incorporates water and lemon juice.
Let it boil.
Add the cherries; cook this for 2 minutes stirring frequently.
Pour the mixture into a lightly greased 8 or 9-inch square pan.
Combine the baking mix, the sugar you reserved and the cinnamon in a medium bowl.
Add the milk; Stir it until a soft dough forms.
Drops heaped tablespoons of this on the hot fruit mixture.
Cover it with nuts.
Bake the dessert for 28 to 30 minutes or until the top is browned.
Let it cool a little.
