Chocolate and Almond Cake

This delicious chocolate and almond recipe results in a delightful cake.

  • 150 grams almonds, shelled and ground
  • 110 grams semisweet chocolate
  • 100 grams sugar
  • 100 grams unsalted butter
  • 3 egg whites
  • powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flour

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the semi-sweet chocolate in a double boiler. Once melted, add the butter, sugar, and almonds, and mix well.
  • Let it cool and incorporate with the egg whites beaten to stiff peaks.
  • Prepare the cake mold by greasing it with butter and dusting it with a little flour.
  • Pour the mixture into the mold and bake for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes before removing from the mold.
