Chocolate and Almond Cake

This delicious recipe for chocolate and almonds results in a delicious cake.

  • 150 grams almonds, without peel and ground
  • 110 grams semisweet chocolate
  • 100 grams sugar
  • 100 grams butter
  • 3 egg whites
  • icing sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flour

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees centigrade.
  • In a medium saucepan in a bain-marie, melt the semi-bitter chocolate. Once it has melted add the butter, sugar and almonds and mix well.
  • Let cool and incorporate with egg whites until stiff.
  • Prepare the mold for the cake by greasing it with butter and sprinkling it with a little flour.
  • Pour the mixture into the mold and cook for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
  • Remove from the oven and allow the cake to cool 10 minutes before unmolding.
