  • 3 cups flour, for the cake
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar, for the cake
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda, for the cake
  • 1 teaspoon salt, for the cake
  • 3/4 cups cocoa, for the cake

  • 2/3 cups vegetable oil, for the cake
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar, for the cake
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence, for the cake
  • 1 1/2 packages cream cheese, for the filling
  • 1 tablespoon hazelnut chocolate cream, for the filling
  • 1 cup shredded coconut, toasted, for the filling
  • 3/4 cups pecans, finely chopped, for the filling
  • 1 1/2 packages cream cheese, for the frosting
  • 1/3 cups icing sugar, for the frosting
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa, for the frosting
  • 1 cup whipping cream, for the frosting
  • 1 cup chocolate, melted, for decoration

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • For the cake, in a bowl mix all the dry ingredients. Set aside.
  • In another bowl mix all the wet ingredients. Set aside.
  • Mix the wet ingredients with the dry ones, beat for 5 minutes until you have a homogeneous consistency.
  • Pour into 3 previously greased and floured molds, bake for 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  • For the filling, beat the cream cheese with the hazelnut cream, add the grated coconut and the nuts. Set aside.
  • For the frosting, cream the cream cheese, add the powdered sugar, cocoa, heavy cream, and beat for another 3 minutes until integrated.
  • On a cake base, place some filling, repeat the procedure, and place the last cake base on top.
  • Cover the cake with chocolate frosting, add melted chocolate, use a piping bag with a star tip to decorate the cake with the remaining frosting and add nuts.
