Chocolate Cake without Milk and Egg

This cake recipe does not contain milk or eggs. It is ideal for someone who is vegan or with allergies to dairy and / or eggs.

  • 1 cup water, hot
  • 1/2 cups cocoa, natural powder (not sweet)
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 2 teaspoons white vinegar

  • Grease a 20 cm rectangular pan with PAM for cooking and sprinkle with cocoa.
  • Mix the hot water with the cocoa powder in a small bowl until well mixed.
  • Mix flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl and form a hole in the center. Add the cocoa mixture in the center along with the oil and vanilla. Stir with a balloon whisk until well mixed and smooth. Add the vinegar and stir well. Pour into the prepared mold.
  • Bake until a toothpick in the center comes out clean, about 30-35 minutes.
  • Run a knife around the mold and unmold. Let cool on a rack.
