Chocolate clusters are made with cereal (Cornflakes or Special K) coated in chocolate and formed into mounds. They make a simple dessert and are ideal for pairing with coffee with friends.
Place the chocolate, oil, and shortening in a double boiler until well melted. Once dissolved, remove from heat and add the cereal (Cornflakes or Special K). Mix the cereal with the chocolate using your fingers until everything is well incorporated.
Cover a baking sheet with wax paper and place mounds of the cereal and chocolate mixture. Refrigerate for 30 minutes until solidified. Remove the clusters with a spatula (metal) and serve.
