Chocolate Churros

  • 3 1/2 cups wheat flour, for the dough
  • 1 tablespoon dry yeast, 11 g, for the dough
  • 1 teaspoon salt, for the dough
  • 4 cups water, for the dough
  • 1 Mexican chocolate tablet, for the dough
  • 3 eggs, for the dough
  • Mexican chocolate tablet, grated, for decoration
  • 1 cup strawberries, for the strawberry dip
  • 1/2 cups condensed milk, for the strawberry dip
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt, for the strawberry dip

  • Mix the wheat flour with the dry yeast and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
  • In a small pot over medium heat, heat the water and dissolve the chocolate in it.
  • Add the mixture of flour, baking powder, and salt all at once. Using a wooden spoon, stir until a dough forms and pulls away from the pot. Remove from heat.
  • In a mixing bowl, place the dough and start mixing with a spatula to cool the mixture. Add the eggs one at a time until incorporated and the dough is homogeneous. Place the cooled dough in a piping bag with a star tip. Set aside.
  • Preheat the Oster® Air Fryer Oven to 175 °C for 5 minutes.
  • On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, pipe the churros using a pastry bag, sprinkle with grated chocolate, and bake in the Oster® Air Fryer Oven at 175 °C for 25 minutes. Let cool and set aside.
  • For the dip, blend the strawberries with condensed milk and yogurt in your Oster® activesense blender until fully combined.
  • Serve the churros with the strawberry dip and a glass of milk.
