1/2 cups Great Value® granulated sugar, for the petals
3/4 cups Great Value® granulated sugar
3/4 cups Great Value® wheat flour
1/4 cups cocoa
1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoons baking soda
1/4 teaspoons Great Value® plain salt
1 egg
1/2 cups sour cream
1/4 cups Great Value® Pure Canola Oil
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 cup fig, in eighths for the compote
1 cup raw sugar, for the compote
4 tablespoons water, for the compote
150 grams semisweet chocolate, melted, for decoration
12 tablet candies, heart-shaped for decoration

For the petals, brush each petal with a little egg white and sprinkle with sugar on both sides. Place on a tray and let dry for at least one day. Set aside.
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
For the cupcakes, place the dry ingredients in the mixing bowl and mix with the paddle.
Add the egg, cream, oil, and vanilla. Beat until fully combined; if necessary, add a little hot water to the mixture.
Pour the mixture into a cupcake mold with liners and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until cooked. Cool.
For the compote, in a small pot over medium heat, cook the figs with sugar and water for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat, cool, and set aside.
Fill the cupcakes with fig compote and decorate with melted chocolate, petals, and heart-shaped candies.
