Chocolate Pots

Simple recipe to prepare a chocolate dessert delight. The chocolate pots can be decorated with whipped cream and grated chocolate.

  • 1 1/2 cups cow's milk
  • 1/3 cups whipping cream
  • 2 ounces semisweet chocolate, in pieces
  • 1/2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 1 egg
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/3 cups sugar
  • whipped creams, for decoration
  • chocolates, grated for decoration

  • Preheat the oven to 325º F (160 degrees Celsius). Put milk, cream, chocolate, and vanilla in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring with a wooden spoon, then remove from heat. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg, yolks, and sugar until smooth, then add a little of the chocolate mixture while stirring well to avoid lumps, constantly mixing. Incorporate this mixture into the chocolate and stir. Strain if necessary and remove any foam if present.
  • Pour this mixture into 6 ramekin molds and place them in a baking dish filled with water up to 1 1/2 cm from the edge of the molds. Bake until set for 30 minutes. Remove from the water and cool. Once cooled, decorate with a star of whipped cream and grated chocolate.
