Chocolate Roll

This chocolate dessert is very tasty and has a beautiful presentation.

  • 6 eggs
  • 10 tablespoons sugar
  • 6 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla essence
  • 3 cups cajeta

  • Separate the eggs and beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  • Mix the yolks, sugar, vanilla, and chocolate. Then add the mixture to the egg whites with a folding motion.
  • Grease a medium baking tray with vegetable spray, place a piece of wax paper, and grease it again with vegetable spray. Pour the mixture onto the wax paper.
  • Bake at 180°C for 15-20 minutes, or until firm.
  • Once baked, remove from the oven and flip it onto a damp cloth. Carefully peel off the wax paper without breaking the cake and immediately roll it up to take the shape of a roll. Let it cool.
  • When the cake is cool, unroll it and spread it with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream or cajeta, and roll it up again using the cloth as a guide. It is ready to serve!
