Chocolate Scones

Prepare some delicious chocolate scones and eat them warm.

  • 3 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 cups semi-dark chocolate chips
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 30 grams butter
  • sugar, to sprinkle

  • Preheat the oven to 190ºC and grease two baking trays.
  • In a large bowl mix the flour, 1/2 cup of sugar, royal, salt and chocolate chips.
  • In another bowl beat the cream to beat until it forms hard peaks. In an enveloping way, mix it with the powders.
  • Put flour on a surface and empty the previous mixture there. Knead until obtaining a soft dough.
  • Form a ball with the dough and crush it until it has a thickness of 3.5 cm. Cut it into 12 slices as if it were a pizza. Transfer the slices to the freshly greased tray leaving a space between them as they will increase in size.
  • Melt the butter and varnish the slices, then sprinkle with sugar.
  • Bake for about 20 min or until they take a little coloring.
