Chocolate Scones

Prepare some delicious chocolate scones and enjoy them warm.

  • 3 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 cups semi-dark chocolate chips
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 30 grams unsalted butter
  • sugar , for sprinkling

  • Preheat the oven to 190ºC and grease two baking sheets.
  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, 1/2 cup of sugar, baking powder, salt, and chocolate chips.
  • In another bowl, whip the cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold it into the dry ingredients.
  • Place flour on a surface and pour the previous mixture there. Knead until a smooth dough is obtained.
  • Form a ball with the dough and flatten it to a thickness of 3.5 cm. Cut it into 12 slices as if it were a pizza. Transfer the slices to a previously greased baking sheet, leaving space between them as they will increase in size.
  • Melt the butter and brush the slices, then sprinkle them with sugar.
  • Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until they start to take on some color.
