Preheat the oven to 190ºC and grease two baking sheets.
In a large bowl, mix the flour, 1/2 cup of sugar, baking powder, salt, and chocolate chips.
In another bowl, whip the cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold it into the dry ingredients.
Place flour on a surface and pour the previous mixture there. Knead until a smooth dough is obtained.
Form a ball with the dough and flatten it to a thickness of 3.5 cm. Cut it into 12 slices as if it were a pizza. Transfer the slices to a previously greased baking sheet, leaving space between them as they will increase in size.
Melt the butter and brush the slices, then sprinkle them with sugar.
Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until they start to take on some color.
