Chocolate Whoopies

The whoopies that are trendy at children's parties can be very easy to make. Follow this recipe and they will turn out delicious!

  • 60 grams bittersweet chocolate
  • 120 grams semisweet chocolate
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cups cocoa, powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 18 marshmallows, large white

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Prepare a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Melt the chocolates and butter in a double boiler.
  • In an electric mixer, beat the sugar, eggs, vanilla, and melted chocolate.
  • In another bowl, mix the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients while continuing to mix.
  • Using a spoon, place dollops of the mixture on the tray to make 36 cookies, ensuring they are approximately 2 cm apart so they don't stick together.
  • Bake for 6 minutes or until they puff back up when pressed.
  • Remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool. Return half of the cookies to the tray, flipping them upside down.
  • Place a marshmallow on top of each of the cookies on the tray and return to the oven. Bake for 3 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven, let cool for 1-2 minutes, and cover with the other cookies.
