In a bowl, melt the chocolate with the butter. Let it cool slightly.
In another bowl, mix the eggs, sugar, extract (optional), and flour (do not overbeat). Add walnuts and mix.
Pour the mixture into a buttered mold.
Bake at 175/180°C for 20 minutes (if it exceeds 20 minutes, it will be dry).
Cut the brownies into triangles to resemble a tree.
Insert a red and white candy cane into each triangle.
Put the frosting in a bowl and add a bit of green food coloring. Make stripes with this frosting on the brownies to decorate them and place some candy-coated chocolates on top.
