  • 1/2 cups margarine
  • 85 grams bittersweet chocolate
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped

  • Preheat the oven to 180ºC.
  • Place the margarine and chocolate in a saucepan and heat or use a double boiler until melted. Remove from heat.
  • Beat the sugar and add the eggs one by one, beating well after each addition.
  • Mix with vanilla, flour, salt, and nuts.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased square baking pan of about 20 centimeters. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
  • Let it cool slightly and cut into 5 x 5 centimeter squares.
