Chocolate Bread Pudding in Baking Dish

This chocolate bread pudding recipe is ideal if you don't know what to do with the leftover sweet bread from the week that has gone hard. This delicious chocolate pudding is very practical and original, as it is made with chocolate donuts, chocolate croissants, ears, or any piece of sweet bread that is your favorite. It has a chocolaty flavor and a smooth consistency, accompanied by a ganache that you will love.

  • 2 pieces pan dulce, chocolate croissants
  • 2 pieces pan dulce, mustaches
  • 2 pieces pan dulce, chocolate muffins
  • 2 pieces pan dulce, chocolate-covered ears
  • 2 pieces pan dulce, donuts with chocolate glaze
  • 1/2 pieces baguette
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cups butter, melted
  • 6 San Juan® eggs
  • 1 cup whipping cream, for the ganache
  • 2 cups bittersweet chocolate, for the ganache
  • 2 tablespoons Licor 43, (30 ml) for the ganache
  • 1/2 cups white chocolate, melted

  • In a bowl, crack and pour the 6 pieces of Huevo San Juan®. Set aside.
  • On a cutting board, cut all the pieces of sweet bread into chunks.
  • Place the bread in a bowl, pour in the milk, and soak for 10 minutes until it fully absorbs the milk.
  • Add the sugar, chocolate chips, cocoa, vanilla extract, melted butter, and the pieces of Huevo San Juan® to the soaked bread, mixing well until incorporated.
  • Pour the mixture into a baking dish and bake for 50 minutes at 180 °C. Let cool.
  • Heat the whipping cream, add the dark chocolate, and with the help of a whisk, mix until incorporated, then add the Licor 43. Let cool for 10 minutes and set aside.
  • Pour the ganache over the baking dish and with the help of a spoon, add lines of white chocolate, then, with a toothpick, spread to create swirls as shown in the video.
  • Cut a slice, serve, and enjoy.
