  • 3 1/3 cups self-rising wheat flour
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups cocoa powder
  • 2 cups cow's milk
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups water, boiling
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3 teaspoons baking soda
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups unsalted margarine, (filling)
  • 1 kilo icing sugar, (filling)
  • 1/4 cups cow's milk, (filling)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence, (filling)

  • In a bowl, sift all the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder).
  • In another bowl, mix the liquid ingredients: oil, milk, eggs.
  • In the mixer, combine the two previous mixtures until a homogeneous consistency is achieved, then add the boiling water without stopping mixing.
  • Preheat the oven to 180°. Grease and flour a baking pan, pour in the batter, and bake for approximately 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • For the filling, place the margarine in a mixer and gradually add the powdered sugar, finally adding the vanilla and milk until the desired consistency is achieved.
  • Let the cake cool and slice it in half to create two layers, fill and cover with the filling mixture.
