Express Chocolate Nougat

  • 150 grams milk chocolate, with hazelnuts
  • 150 grams milk chocolate, with almonds
  • 200 grams dark chocolate, for baking (fondant)
  • 80 grams puffed rice, Choco Krispies
  • 70 grams lard

  • We need to melt the 3 chocolates together, we can do this in a double boiler or using the microwave on low power, checking every 20 - 30 seconds while it melts to prevent burning. I broke the bars into small pieces to melt faster, placed them in a bowl in the double boiler, and in a few minutes, stirring occasionally with a silicone spatula, we have melted chocolate.
  • Once we have melted the chocolate, we melt the butter in the microwave (not overdoing it, we will melt it just enough without it getting too hot) and add it to the melted chocolate. We mix the mixture well.
  • To finish with the ingredients, we add the Choco Krispies and mix well again.
  • We just need to pour the mixture into the mold. With the help of the silicone spatula, we ensure that the surface is level. We lift the mold a little and tap it against the countertop to settle the mixture well. Let it rest for about 4 hours or, better yet, overnight, and we have our delicious Chocolate Nougat ready. I like the chocolate cold, so once the mixture was cool, I put it in the refrigerator and waited until the next day, and it turned out perfect.
