Pantera Rosa Tamale

Give a special touch to traditional sweet tamales with this Pantera Rosa Tamale recipe, which has a pink mini pastry as a filling that you'll love!

  • 1 cup butter
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 2 cups corn masa flour, , for tamale
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 cup cow's milk
  • food coloring, pink
  • 8 corn husks, (totomoxtle) soaked
  • 4 pink panther Marinela®, (50 g each)
  • water, hot

  • For the dough, beat the butter with the sugar until smooth, add the flour, baking powder, and gradually the milk as the dough requires. It should be semi-liquid. Tint with pink food coloring.
  • Cut the Pantera Rosa Marinela® pastries in half.
  • Pour a tablespoon of dough onto a soaked tamale leaf and spread it out. Place half of a Pantera Rosa Marinela® in the center, cover with more dough, and wrap it like a tamale.
  • Place the tamales in a steamer with hot water and cook for 40 minutes, let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
