This chocolate tamale is filled with Chocoroles Marinela and can be made in a sweet shape using corn husk. A great tip to enhance the flavor of your tamale is to add cocoa.
Beat the butter with the sugar until smooth, add the flour, baking powder, cocoa, and gradually add milk. Beat until you have a homogeneous and semi-liquid dough.
Pour a tablespoon of tamale dough onto the totomoxtle leaf, spreading it well. Place a piece of Chocoroles Marinela® on top and cover with more dough. Close the leaf by wrapping it so that it forms a candy shape and tie the ends with ribbons made from the same leaf.
Place the tamales in a steamer with water and cook for 40 minutes. Let rest before serving.
