Chocoroles Tamale

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 2 cups corn flour , , for tamale
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 cup cow's milk
  • 8 Marinela® Chocoroles
  • 8 corn husks

  • Beat the butter with the sugar until smooth, add the flour, baking powder, cocoa, and gradually add milk. Beat until you have a homogeneous and semi-liquid dough.
  • Pour a tablespoon of tamale dough onto the totomoxtle leaf, spreading it well. Place a piece of Chocoroles Marinela® on top and cover with more dough. Close the leaf by wrapping it so that it forms a candy shape and tie the ends with ribbons made from the same leaf.
  • Place the tamales in a steamer with water and cook for 40 minutes. Let rest before serving.
