1 1/2 cups flour
2 tablespoons ginger powder
1 tablespoon cinnamon powder
1 teaspoon clove, ground
1 teaspoon nutmeg, ground
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons yeast
8 tablespoons butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup corn syrup, Karo
2 eggs

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Place 10 cupcake liners in a cupcake tray.
In a pot, bring 1 cup of water to a boil, and when it reaches room temperature, add the yeast and let it sit for 5-10 minutes.
In a deep bowl, mix the flour, spices, salt, and baking powder.
In a stand mixer using the dough hook, mix the butter until fluffy.
Add the brown sugar and continue mixing, then add the flour, baking powder, honey, and eggs.
Spoon the batter into the cupcake liners, filling each one 3/4 full (to allow space for rising).
Bake the cupcakes for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Remove from the oven and let cool before decorating with buttercream frosting.
