  • Beat the butter with the sugar until well incorporated, then add the egg gradually until it is mixed, then add the flour and Rexal® baking powder alternately with the milk. Make sure not to beat for too long; do it just until the ingredients are combined and use medium speed.
  • Divide the cake mixture into 3 equal parts and dye one with red coloring, another with green coloring, and leave one uncolored.
  • Bake each of the mixtures in 3 same-sized, greased molds at 170 °C for 25 minutes.
  • Remove the Christmas domino cake from the oven, let it cool, and unmold. Trim the cake if necessary with a serrated knife.
  • Cut each piece of cake into circles of approximately 3 cm in diameter and form rings so that they look like a puzzle. Do this with the 3 colored cakes.
  • Then, you will form the layers; it is very important to mention that when assembling each layer, you must add whipped cream between the rings, which will act as glue.
  • For the first layer, alternate a circle of red cake, the second with neutral cake, and the third with green cake, so it forms a tricolor layer of cake.
  • For the second layer, you will follow the same process, but the first color is neutral, then green, and finally red.
  • For the third and final layer, you will follow the same process, but the first color is green, then red, and finally neutral.
  • Once you finish, place the first layer as the base, fill with whipped cream, and add the next layer. Do this until you place the last layer.
  • Cover the Christmas domino cake with whipped cream, ensuring to cover the colors. Freeze for 15 minutes.
  • Once the Christmas cake is firm, cover again with a second layer of whipped cream using a spatula or a piping bag. Decorate to create a cream flake style, giving it an elegant finish. Refrigerate the cake again.
  • Once the Christmas domino cake is firm, decorate with chocolate poinsettia flowers and sugar pearls.
