Churros with Cookie

  • 1 cup Classic Gamesa® Wonders Cookies
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/3 cups Great Value® raw sugar
  • 1/4 cups butter, in cubes
  • 1 cup flour, sifted
  • 2 eggs
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1/2 cups sugar, for coating
  • 1/2 cups cinnamon powder, for coating

  • Place the Gamesa® Clásicas Maravillas Cookies in a blender and crush them until they turn to powder. Set aside.
  • Boil water in a saucepan over medium-low heat; once the water starts to bubble, lower the heat and add the brown sugar and butter; stir until the ingredients are combined. Remove from heat and while still hot, add the flour and the powdered Gamesa® Clásicas Maravillas Cookies all at once, mix gently with a silicone spatula or a wooden spoon with constant movements to avoid lumps. You should obtain an elastic mixture.
  • Add the eggs and continue mixing; do not stop stirring to prevent the eggs from cooking due to the heat of the mixture. When you have a homogeneous mixture, transfer it to a piping bag with a star tip and refrigerate for a few minutes, or until the mixture is cold.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat; once hot, lower the temperature. Carefully squeeze the batter into the oil and shape the churros to your desired size, cutting the dough with scissors; fry until the churros are firm. Remove from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  • Roll the churros in a plate with powdered sugar and cinnamon until completely coated. Serve immediately.
