Cinnamon and Anise Cookies

This King's Day season, prepare some delicious cinnamon and anise cookies to accompany coffee, a glass of milk, or a rich hot chocolate. They are crispy and spicy, simply delicious.

  • 1 tablespoon anise powder

  • Preheat the oven to 170 °C.
  • In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients: flour, anise, cinnamon, and baking powder. Set aside.
  • In a bowl, mix the butter with sugar, add the egg, and then add the dry ingredients, knead until combined. Refrigerate the dough for 10 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix the sugar with cinnamon. Set aside.
  • On a floured surface, use a rolling pin to roll out the dough.
  • Using a round cutter, cut the dough to a thickness of 5mm, place on a baking sheet, and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake for 15 minutes. Cool. Buy HERE
