This season of kings prepares some delicious cookies of cinnamon and anise to accompany a coffee, glass of milk or a rich hot chocolate. They are crispy and spicy, simply delicious.

Ingredients

8 portions
  • 2 cups Great Value® Wheat Flour
  • 1 tablespoon aniseed powder
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 1/2 cups butter, at room temperature
  • 3/4 cups Great Value® Refined Sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup Great Value® Refined Sugar, to sprinkle
  • 1 cup cinnamon powder, to sprinkle

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 170 ° C.
Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl: flour, anise, cinnamon and baking powder. Reservation.
Mix in a bowl the butter with the sugar, add the egg and add the powders, knead until integrating. Refrigerate the dough for 10 minutes.
In a bowl, mix the sugar with the cinnamon. Reservation.
On a floured surface and with the help of a rolling pin, spread the dough.
With a round cutter cut the dough to a thickness of 5mm, place in a tray and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon, bake for 15 min. Chill
