Cinnamon rolls

Prepare the richest rolls of cinnamon with this recipe, remember to enjoy more fresh from the oven and accompany them with a coffee, Capuccino or a glass of cold milk. This recipe pays to make approximately 16 rolls.

  • 1/4 canola oil
  • 1 cup low-fat milk
  • 1 cup artificial sweetener, granulated
  • 2 packages dry yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 2 egg whites
  • 5 1/2 cups whole-wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 cups raisins
  • 1/2 cups apple juice
  • salt

  • Heat the milk (do not boil). Add half of the sugar, salt and oil, mix and remove from heat.
  • Combine the yeast and water (rest 5 minutes).
  • Beat the egg, the whites and mix with the yeast and milk (wait for the milk to get a little warm).
  • Mix the flour until it forms a soft dough.
  • Flour a surface and place the dough, knead it until it is soft and elastic.
  • Put the dough in a container and cover the container with plastic.
  • Wait an hour and a half to double its size.
  • Divide the dough into two and form two balls.
  • Cover them with plastic and let them rest for 10 minutes.
  • Mix cinnamon and raisins with the other half of sugar.
  • Put it on the tray to bake the spray oil.
  • With the help of the roller, expand the dough and cut rectangles of 40 x 20 cm (approximately).
  • Cover the two masses with cooking spray and sprinkle half of the cinnamon in one and half in the other.
  • Roll up the rectangles, cut each roll into 8 pieces (approximately).
  • Place them on the baking tray and wait an hour and a half until they double in size.
  • Preheat the oven to 180º C.
  • Heat the apple juice, brush each roll and put the tray in the oven approximately 15 minutes.
