  • Add the flour, sugar, cold butter, and a pinch of salt to enhance the flavor in a food processor. Process until all the ingredients for the tart dough are combined.
  • Add a splash of cold water and process again until the dough forms; it should not be sticky or too soft. Once the dough is ready, cover it and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Place the peeled and cored apples in a bowl, then add the juice of 5 lemons, sugar, cinnamon to taste, brown sugar, vanilla extract, nutmeg, and mix very well.
  • Melt the butter in a skillet, add the flour and hot milk to thicken our filling mixture for the tart.
  • Add brown sugar and white sugar and cook for 3 minutes, then add the apples to the skillet to combine all the ingredients, and finally add the chopped walnuts and blueberries. Let cool to fill the apple tart.
  • Roll the dough out 2 centimeters larger than the pan, so it has the same thickness all around.
  • Place the dough into our tart pan, covering the base and sides.
  • Fill the dough with the apple mixture and form the top with strips of 1.5 cm thickness interwoven to show some of the filling.
  • Brush the top of the apple tart with egg, bake for 25 minutes at 180° C or until our tart is lightly golden and crispy. Let cool, cut a slice, and serve.
