Coffee Custard

A delicious recipe for low-fat, rich coffee custard.

  • 4 cups cow's milk, prepared
  • 1 can whipping cream, reduced-fat, large
  • 1 can condensed milk, 0% fat
  • 4 tablespoons ground coffee
  • 200 grams cornstarch
  • 1 can condensed milk, large
  • 1/2 cups orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest

  • Dissolve the cornstarch in half of the fortified milk. Set aside.
  • Mix the other half of the milk with the coffee, the condensed milk, and bring to a boil.
  • When it boils, add the reduced-fat cream and the cornstarch mixture, stirring constantly for 15 - 20 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and serve in a large mold or several individual ones. Refrigerate until it reaches the desired consistency.
  • With the other can of condensed milk, the orange juice, and the zest, make a sauce.
  • Mix the ingredients for the sauce and serve alongside the coffee custard.
