Strawberry Mostachon

  • 7 egg whites
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence
  • 1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped
  • 2 packages salty cracker, crushed
  • 290 grams cream cheese
  • 240 milliliters whipping cream, well chilled
  • 1/2 cups icing sugar
  • 1 kilo strawberries, washed and disinfected

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a round mold.
  • Beat the egg whites with the baking powder and gradually add the brown sugar. Once firm (at the turrón stage), add the vanilla.
  • Once firm, stop beating and gently fold in the crushed cookies and walnuts with a ladle.
  • Pour the mixture into the mold and bake at 180°C for 30 to 35 minutes.
  • In another bowl, beat the cream cheese along with the whipping cream, gradually adding the powdered sugar. You should beat until there are no lumps and the cream is firm.
  • Once the meringue at the bottom is completely cool, transfer it to a serving platter, spread the whipped cream on top, and decorate with sliced strawberries.
