Vanilla and Chocolate Ice Cream Roll

Treat the little ones at home with this amazing vanilla and chocolate roll filled with delicious creamy chocolate ice cream with crunchy almonds; you won’t believe how easy it is to make!

  • 6 egg whites
  • 1/4 cups sugar, for the egg whites
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1/4 cups sugar, for the egg yolks
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/8 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1/4 cups butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1 Almond Crunch Halo Top® chocolate

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  • Beat the egg whites until they double in volume, adding the sugar gradually.
  • Beat the egg yolks with the sugar until they change color, then gently fold in the egg whites, sifted flour, salt, vanilla, and melted butter.
  • Separate the previous mixture into two parts, add cocoa to one and mix. Place the mixtures into two pastry bags.
  • On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, add a line of white mixture, then one of chocolate, alternating the colors until the tray is full, bake for 8 minutes.
  • Place the roll on a cloth sprinkled with powdered sugar, roll it up while hot, and let it cool.
  • Unroll, add the Chocolate Almond Crunch Halo Top® ice cream and, using a spatula, spread it evenly without reaching the edges, roll it up, and freeze for 1 hour.
  • Slice and serve with a glass of milk.
