Green Tea Ice Cream

This Green Tea Ice Cream recipe is very practical, as it is made with Vanilla and powdered Green Tea, which is an important source of natural antioxidants for the body.

  • 2 cups cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 6 eggs
  • 2/3 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons matcha, powdered-japanese-green-tea

  • In a pot, bring the cream, milk, and salt to a boil.
  • In a deep bowl, mix the eggs, sugar, and Matcha. Then add 1 cup of the hot cream mixture while whisking quickly.
  • Gradually whisk in the remaining mixture and return to the pot to cook over low heat for about 5 minutes (do not let it boil and continue whisking).
  • Immediately pour the strained mixture into a metal container or ice cream maker and let cool to room temperature. Place in the refrigerator and allow to chill for 1 hour.
  • Freeze the ice cream in an ice cream maker and then transfer to a storage container.
  • The ice cream lasts up to 30 days.
