Classic Tiramisu Recipe

  • 5 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cups icing sugar, for the yolks
  • 2 tablespoons wine, sweet
  • 1 orange zest
  • 2 packages mascarpone cheese, (226 g each) previously beaten a little, to make it soft
  • 5 egg whites
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 package ladyfingers
  • 1 cup espresso coffee, cold
  • 2 tablespoons wine, sweet
  • 1/2 cups cocoa, for decoration

  • For the cream: beat the egg yolks with the sugar, 2 tablespoons of sweet wine, and the orange zest for 5 minutes until you achieve a fluffy and smooth consistency. Then gently fold in the mascarpone cheese and set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt for 5 minutes, until they double in volume (stiff peaks) and gently fold them into the mascarpone cheese mixture. Set aside.
  • Mix the coffee with the wine and set aside.
  • Soak the ladyfingers in the coffee and arrange them in a mold to form a base, then cover it with the mascarpone cream. Repeat the process until the mold is filled, completely cover with cream, and refrigerate.
  • Decorate with sifted cocoa, cut a slice, serve, and enjoy.
