Creamy Cajeta Flan

This flan recipe is made with a bit of cream cheese and is topped with cajeta instead of caramelized sugar. Very good!

  • 330 grams cajeta Burnt
  • 2 cans condensed milk, from 397 milliliters
  • 2 cans evaporated milk, from 371 milliliters
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 8 eggs
  • 180 grams cream cheese, at room temperature

  • Preheat the oven to 180º C.
  • Cover an aluminum mold with cajeta (the sides and the bottom).
  • Blend the milks with the vanilla, eggs, and cream cheese. The mixture should be smooth and well incorporated.
  • Pour the mixture into the flan mold (covered with cajeta). Cover with aluminum foil.
  • Bake in a water bath for 1 1/2 hours. When ready, take it out of the oven and let it cool.
  • Unmold and store in the refrigerator until serving.
