Creme Brulée

A French dessert, super easy and delicious. It is a creamy dessert with vanilla flavor topped with a thin caramel crust, usually decorated with red fruits and a bit of mint. It is definitely a dessert that conquers even the most discerning palate.

  • 500 milliliters whipping cream
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 75 grams sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 4 teaspoons sugar

  • Whisk the egg yolks, sugar, and vanilla until thickened and light in color (like a cake). Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  • Slowly add the cream for whipping, incorporating until the mixture is uniform and smooth.
  • Place the mixture in a baking tray and cover it very well with aluminum foil.
  • Place inside another deeper tray with boiling water. Carefully place it in the oven.
  • Bake for 30 minutes or until it looks gelatinous. Remove from the oven, take off the aluminum, and cool.
  • Once cooled, whisk until smooth and creamy.
  • Pour into individual containers, smoothing the cream perfectly.
  • Evenly cover the top of the dessert with sugar and caramelize the sugar with a torch.
